Shakespeare’s play about the doomed romance of two young lovers from feuding families is the most famous love story ever written.

This poster for The Royal Shakespeare Company was constructed using cut paper and mid-century modern inspiration. The goal is to attract an audience that might think a Shakespeare play is out of date or irrelevant. The design uses bold and abstract imagery, modern type and a limited color palette to create a contemporary feel.
